Man Killed in Grand Crossing Store Shooting, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man died after being shot in a Grand Crossing store Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The shooting occurred at 3:15 p.m. in the 400 block of East 79th Street, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman.

A gunman entered the store and fired shots before fleeing.

Glenn Houston Jr., 23, was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital at 3:55 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

He was shot in his chest.
