Police Find Dead Man Sitting in Driver's Seat of Parked Car

CHICAGO — Police found a 38-year-old man, perhaps killed in a shooting, sitting in the driver's seat of a parked car in Austin Tuesday night, authorities said.

Police responded to a call of a person shot about 10:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Leclaire Avenue, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to his head.

The man, Hakizimana Scott of the 800 block of North Laramie Avenue, was pronounced dead at 10:50 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
