LITTLE ITALY — In honor of the Feast of the Seven Fishes, Davanti Enoteca will feature a special holiday menu item that incorporates seven different kinds of seafood in one dish.

Called "The Feast," the dish includes whole lobster, king crab, head-on prawns, bay scallops, calamari, Prince Edward Island mussels and Manila clams served in a spicy lobster-tomato broth with Italian bread and saffron aioli. Priced at $74, the dish can be shared between two and four people.

The dish will be available Christmas Eve through New Year's Eve at all Davanti Enoteca locations, including the Little Italy location, 1359 W. Taylor St. The restaurant is open on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.

The Feast of the Seven Fishes is a traditional part of the Southern Italian Christmas Eve celebration, which typically consists of seven different seafood dishes. Italian-American Catholics customarily refrain from eating meat on certain holy days, including "La Vigilia" — Christmas Eve.

In River North, Davanti Enoteca will also feature a crudo (raw) fish dish called "The Seven," featuring seven different kinds of seafood served sashimi style, according to a news release. The dish is priced at $38.
