CHICAGO — Two people were stabbed and another injured in an early-morning altercation in River North that police say was over a woman.
The incident took place about 3 a.m. in the 200 block of West Erie Street, police said.
A 22-year-old man was stabbed in the back and a 23-year-old man was stabbed in the leg. The younger man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition; the other man was treated on the scene by fire personnel.
The man who allegedly stabbed the pair was taken to an area hospital with superficial wounds to his fingers. Charges are pending against the man, police said.
A knife was recovered at the scene.
