CHICAGO — Cheer up, nerds, there's still hope to find your snuggle bunny to keep you warm this winter.
Nerds at Heart is hosting a special winter-themed singles event specifically geared towards the geeky. Turn up the heat on your love life from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Blokes & Birds, 3343 N. Clark St.
Start off the night with a bad Santa icebreaker in which participants answer questions to find their holiday alter ego. Show you're the trendiest of the geekiest by donning your ugliest sweater for one of the holiday-themed prizes or play board games and answer trivia questions.
Don't worry: There will also be some liquid courage available to help muster the strength to find Mr. or Mrs. Right. Drink specials include Beyond the Wall, which blends honey with whiskey; the Hogsmeade, which mixes butterscotch and beer; and the Fortress of Solitude, a creamy blend of vodka and cream.
