Taoki Drumming Show at Museum of Contemporary Art

CHICAGO — Get into the smooth rhythm of Taoki drumming, a popular Japanese tradition, when Tsukasa Taiko returns to the Museum of Contemporary Art.

The two programs, "Taiko Legacy 11" and "Reduction," feature contemporary music artist and dance artist from Tokyo and Chicago. Both are directed by Tatsu Aoki.

"Taoki Legacy 11," a family favorite, will be performed at 3 p.m. Dec. 20 and 21. "Reduction," which blends top jazz and contemporary artist with masters of Taiko, will take place at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 20. Both shows will take place in the Edlis Neeson Theater at MCA Stage.

Tickets to each show are $20 and free for children 12 and under.
