Uptown Shooting Near Truman College Critically Injures Man

CHICAGO — A man is in critical condition after being shot near Truman College in Uptown Tuesday morning. 

Around 10 a.m., the man, whose age is unknown, was shot in a possible drive-by in the 1100 block of West Wilson Avenue, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman. 

Estrada said the man sustained a gunshot wound in his head, and was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital where he is listed in critical condition

He was "not the intended target," Estrada said, adding that the shooting did not occur on Truman's property.

No one is in custody, and detectives are investigating.
