LINCOLN PARK — Parents of the world, have you ever wondered what is going on inside your teen's head?

The British School of Chicago will try to give you an idea.

Dr. Ron Clavier, a Canadian neuroscientist and Mike Horton, headmaster of the school, are hosting a presentation on what goes on inside the teenage brain, which is free and open to the public.

The presentation will provide insight into neurological changes in a young person's developing brain that explain the emotions, unpredictable behaviors and search for independence, according to the school.

The presentation will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the British School, 814 W. Eastman St.

Clavier, author of "Teen Brain, Teen Mind," will also present a variety of tips and strategies to ease tension and communication between parents and teens during the event.

Families interesting in attending can RSVP at the British School of Chicago website.
