COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — A Bridgeport couple were arrested this week after authorities said they made more than 3,000 counterfeit labels for their Uptown shop.

Married couple Jingyan Deng, 34, and Changhao Wu, 37, were charged for crafting 3,155 faux labels for brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors and Tory Burch, court records show.

The couple would attach the labels to purses and other items before selling them in their store, C & Y Accessories at 4511 N. Clark St., according to Assistant State's Attorney Lorraine Scaduto.

Deng and Wu, who live in the 3000 block of South Gratten Avenue, were charged with trademark counterfeiting and released Wednesday on electronic monitoring.
