MOUNT GREENWOOD — Pancakes somehow taste better when accompanied by marching band music.

Or at least that's the theory behind the annual Bandcake Breakfast at Brother Rice High School. The fundraiser is set for 8 a.m.-noon on Dec. 7 at Brother Rice at 10001 S. Pulaski Road in Mount Greenwood.

For the third year, the event will raise money for the Brother Rice and Mother McAuley Band.

Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for seniors and children ages 5 to 12. Children 4 years old and younger eat for free. Tickets are available at the door.

Santa will be stopping by to take pictures with all the girls and boys. The parents can take home the photos for nominal fee.

Raffle baskets and split-the-pot tickets will also be available at breakfast.
