Albany Park Residents Warned About String of Robberies

CHICAGO — Police are warning residents about a string of robberies that took place in Albany Park in November.

In two of the incidents, two men robbed their victims at gunpoint after arranging to buy electronics, police said.

The first robbery occurred around 12:20 a.m. Nov. 18 in the 4400 block of North Hamlin Avenue. The thieves were described as two black men, one wearing a gray hoodie and the other a black North Face jacket, police said.

The second robbery occurred about two weeks later, around 9:12 p.m. Sunday in the 3800 block of West Montrose Avenue. The thieves were described as two Hispanic men in their late teens, police said.

In another incident, a man wearing a dark jacket and ski mask pushed his victim into an alley in the 3800 block of West Montrose Avenue and took his cash, cellphone and wallet. The robbery occurred around 4:25 p.m. Saturday, police said.

A silver revolver was used in all the robberies, police said.
