WEST LOOP — Two annual events at Mary Bartelme Park will bring holiday cheer to the West Loop this month.

The park will host the fourth Christmas tree lighting ceremony from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 6 with a visit from Santa, sleigh rides, warm food and drinks. The Skinner Elementary School Choir and Merit Honors Brass Choir also plan to perform.

Families can take photos with Santa with a $5 donation to the park.

At 6 p.m. Dec. 16, the fourth annual Menorah lighting ceremony is planned in the park, 115 S. Sangamon St.

Both events are sponsored by the Mary Bartelme Park Advisory Council.
