LINCOLN SQUARE — So many holiday cookie recipes, so little time.

A great way to try as many treats as possible without resorting to 'round-the-clock baking: the cookie swap.

You could plan one of your own — everyone from the Cooking Channel to Martha Stewart has how-to advice — or leave the work to Savory Spice Shop, 4753 N. Lincoln Ave., which is hosting its second annual exchange from 6:30-8 p.m. Dec. 9.

Come to the party with at least two dozen samples of your signature sweet and walk away with an assortment of goodies whipped up by your fellow bakers.

Savory Spice will provide the hot cocoa; bring your own elastic-waist pants. Unless you intend to trademark your cookie, it's always nice to share copies of your recipe as well.

The event is free, but space is limited. Register online or call 773-293-4559.
