Irving Park Robberies Spark Community Alert From Police

IRVING PARK — Irving Park residents should be on alert after a pair of recent aggravated robberies in the neighborhood, police said.

In both incidents, a man and woman approached the victim and started up a brief conversation before the man implied he had a gun and then stole the victims' property.

One incident took place at 11:20 p.m. in the 4000 block of North Central Park Avenue; the second took place at 1:30 a.m. in the 4000 block of North Keystone Avenue. The robberies occurred in late November.

The man is described as black, 25-35 years old, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. The woman is described as black, 25-30 years old with long black hair.
