ANDERSONVILLE— Now in its 17th year, Rudolph the Red-Hosed Reindeer is back this holiday season to shake up a classic Christmas tale.

The parody show takes the stage at Mary's Attic — the second floor of Hamburger Mary's at 5400 N. Clark St. — beginning at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets range from $16 to $110.

Hell in a Hangbag Productions presents Rudolph the Red-Hosed Reindeer, which tells the story of a transvestite reindeer named Rudolph. In the show, Santa is depressed, Mrs. Claus is drinking too much and morale is low at the North Pole. Things are generally in disarray until Rudolph teams up with a misfit elf, Herbie, and a butch prospector named Yukon Cornelia.

The show runs through Jan. 2.
