CHICAGO — A 50-year-old Portage Park man was killed after a fire in his home Thursday, authorities said.
Tadeusz Moscicki, of the 3300 block of North Lockwood Avenue, was taken to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 a.m. Thursday, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.
An autopsy determined he died of burns and smoke inhalation, as well as "acute ethanol intoxication," the Medical Examiner's Office said.
