South Austin Shooting Leaves Man Wounded

SOUTH AUSTIN— A 21-year-old man was shot in South Austin Monday evening, police said.

At 6 p.m., the man was standing outside in the 5900 block of West Madison Street when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was shot in his right hand and taken to West Suburban Medical Center and listed in good condition, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody.
