LINCOLN PARK — Compass Bar is hosting a special Revolution Brewing beer dinner along with MFK's executive chef.
The prix fixe beer dinner will feature four courses by MFK's Nick Lacasse, each paired with a beer.
A representative from Revolution will be at the dinner to explain the ins and outs of each beer and the pairing selections.
The dinner including drinks, tax and tip is $45 per person on Dec. 2 at Compass Bar, 433 W. Diversey.
FIRST COURSE
Passed canapés
Braised pork flautas with apple jam
Mini-Maine style shrimp rolls on a freshly baked bun with pickled celery
Paired with: "Cross of Gold" Golden Ale
SECOND COURSE
Bacon Wrapped Cobia
Grilled chile glaze served over kabocha squash
Paired with: "Local Hero" Fresh-hopped IPA
THIRD COURSE
Beef Cheek Pizza
With caramelized onions and bleu cheese
Paired with: "Gravedigger Billy" Bourbon Barrel-aged Scotch Ale
FOURTH COURSE
House Made Chocolate Pie
Paired with: "Blue Gene" Bourbon Barrel-aged Porter with Blueberry
