NORWOOD PARK — Resurrection College Prep High School will mark Veterans Day by honoring a graduate who served in the Air Force.

Ramina Oraha, who was deployed to Iraq in 2006 as a senior airman, will be honored at the all-girls Catholic school's Veterans Day assembly that will take place at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at 7500 W. Talcott Ave.

Oraha, a member of the class of 2003, suffered a stroke in 2008 and will speak during the event via a message recorded with the help of her speech therapist.

The assembly is being coordinated with Salute, Inc., a non-profit organization based in the northwest suburbs that supports veterans and their families, including Oraha.
