WICKER PARK —  A swanky penthouse loft above Wicker Park's Bongo Room is for rent, and the leasing agent trying to find a new tenant is having a networking party inside the apartment next week.

"It's a cool space that has only been vacant for less than two weeks. I might rent it before the party but we will still have the party anyway," said Ryan Grober on Friday.

Scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Grober's "Wicker Park Penthouse Showcase" will include a chance to check out the apartment as well as network with other people and enjoy appetizers, wine and beer.

Located at 1470 N. Milwaukee Ave, on the third-floor of an 1880s-era building, the 1,300 square-foot apartment has an open floor plan with 12-foot-tall ceilings, exposed brick walls and two decks offering skyline views.

While the apartment has no dedicated bedroom, there is an area that can be sectioned off for a bed, Grober said.

The apartment also has a washer and dryer onsite.

Rent is $2,300 per month.

For more information, email Grober or call 708-275-6083.
