CHICAGO — A woman was hospitalized after a fire erupted in a West Rogers Park building Tuesday afternoon.
Around 3:55 p.m., the woman, 20, was in a building in the 2500 block of West Fitch Avenue when the fire started, according to Chicago Fire Department Chief Joe Roccasalva.
The fire was contained to one room, Roccasalva said.
He added that the cause of the blaze is unknown.
The woman was taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where she is listed in fair-to-stable condition, Roccasalva said.
The incident is currently under investigation, and no other information was immediately available.
