Things You Can Do in Lincoln Park and Old Town This Weekend

Friday

Fortune Feimster at Zanies, 1548 N. Wells St, 8:30 and 10:30 p.m.

Fortune Feimster was a semi-finalist on "Last Comic Standing" and is a full-time writer and regular on "Chelsea Lately." Tickets are $25 with the purchase of two food or drink items.

Saturday

Gold Coast Walking Tour with the Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St., 10 a.m.

Learn about the early history of Chicago through stories of its founders, architecture and public art. This two-hour tour focuses on the Gold Coast. Meet in front of the Museum to begin the tour Saturday. Tickets are $20 or $15 for members and include admission to the zoo for the day.

History Puppy Crawl with the Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St., 10 a.m.

Take your pooch an epic walk through Lincoln Park as you visit its gardens and pet-friendly bars. Humans need tickets and must be accompanied by a pet. Tickets are $20, $15 for museum members.

Learn, Explore and Play at Lincoln Park Zoo, 2001 N. Clark St., 9:30-10:30 a.m.

The zoo has created an immersive playground for your young one to connect with nature through playtime. The sensory-rich play place is immersive for young ones and adults by allowing children to meet the animals, draw, build and make music on your own schedule. The 9-week session on Thursdays and Saturdays is $126, $108 for zoo members. The class is for children ages 2-3 accompanied by an adult.

Sunday

Facets Family Boo! Bash at Park West, 322 W. Armitage Ave., 2 p.m.

The bash will kick off the 2014 Chicago International Children's Festival with films, games, face painting, tattoos and a lot more. See the best films from the festival, dance with the Redmoon Theater's mobile DJ unit or watch the CircEsteem Acrobats. Tickets are $125 for adults and $50 per child. Costumes are encouraged for children and adults.

Bears Watch Party at Joe's on Weed St., 940 W. Weed St., noon-4 p.m.

For $30 get an all-you-can-drink deal during the Bears game against the Miami Dolphins Sunday. The drink package includes beer and house wine and all proceeds go to Horizon for Youth, a local non-profit that helps children from low-income areas achieve success through scholarships and outings. Raffles for cash and prizes will also take place.
