CHICAGO — A 57-year-old man was killed Thursday morning in University Village after being hit by a vehicle.
The man, whose identity was not released, was hit by a vehicle in the 1100 block of West Roosevelt Road about 6:30 a.m., police said.
Witnesses on the scene told police the man was walking against the traffic and the vehicle involved had a green light, said Officer Beri Lemmon, a police spokeswoman. No citations were issued.
The Major Accidents Unit is investigating, Lemmon said.
