DuSable Museum to Show Fela Kuti Documentary

HYDE PARK — The DuSable Museum of African American History will host a screening of “Finding Fela,” a documentary about afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti.

The museum at 740 E. 56th Place will host a screening at 7 p.m. Friday of the Alex Gibney’s documentary on the Nigerian musician.

Kuti was known for fusing the genres of Ghanian and Nigerian music with jazz to promote political movements of Africa.
