LOGAN SQUARE  — The second annual Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits Backyard Dinner kicks off Sunday to benefit local nonprofit Growing Home.

The intimate event is a Logan Square production from chefs Nathan Sears of The Radler; Scott Manley of Table, Donkey and Stick; Chris Davies of Homestead; and Patrick Cloud of Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits. The chefs will cook up inspired plates featuring local produce from 6-9 p.m. at 2051 N. California Ave. while a crew from the Whistler pours signature cocktails.

The night of local fare, craft drinks and toe-tapping will support Growing Home, an organization that works to change lives and engage communities on the city’s Southwest Side through urban farming.

The event will also feature drinks from Virtue Cider, Cream Wine Company, Solemn Oath, Atlas and Flesk breweries in addition to live music provided by local bluegrass band Odd Folk.

The festivities will be topped off with a raffle for a slate of prizes including farm-to-table dinners, goods from Letherbee Distillers, original art prints and yoga classes.
