LINCOLN SQUARE — It's a match made in culinary heaven.

Savory Spice Shop, 4752 N. Lincoln Ave., will host the release party for best-selling author Anupy Singla's latest cookbook, "Indian for Everyone," 7-10 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16.

Against a backdrop of the shop's sizeable selection of curry blends, Singla will demonstrate recipes from the new book — there will be samples, natch — as well as talk about her experiences growing up Indian-American.

"Indian for Everyone" aims to be just that: a guide for newcomers to the cuisine as well as for those who've been whipping up biryani since they could hold a stirring spoon.

Though the emphasis is on classic Indian dishes, Singla provides healthier options alongside traditional recipes.

Space is limited and advanced ticket purchase is advised (click here). The cost is $10 for the event only or $35 including a copy of the book.
