Bronzeville Man Found Shot to Death in His Car

CHICAGO — A 37-year-old man was fatally shot Monday night in Bronzeville, police say.

Around 5:25 p.m., officer discovered Torrente Pickens, of the 3400 block of South King Drive, unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in his car, which was parked in the 100 block of East 44th Street, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.

He was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:32 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's

Pickens was a documented gang member, police said.
