LITTLE VILLAGE — The Little Village Arts Festival will bring artwork to the neighborhood's storefronts, homes and other venues to create an art work this weekend.

The ninth annual VillArte festival kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday at Ageless Arts Tattoo, 2407 S. Kedzie Ave. Events featuring art, film and workshops continue from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday starting at the Little Village Chamber of Commerce, 3610 W. 26th St.

The pop-up galleries aim to spotlight a neighborhood bursting with creativity, according to organizers.

Chicago-based artists featured include: Matthew Silva, Ricardo Gonzalez, Anthony Marcos Rea, Analia Rodriguez, Laura Vergara, Elias Corral, Victoria Martinez, Victoria Cervantes and Miguel Vazquez.
