LAKEVIEW — If you loved watching "The Last Unicorn" as a kid, you'll love watching it at the Music Box with Peter S. Beagle.

The author, whose 1968 novel inspired the beloved animated film, is traveling the U.S. on a Last Unicorn revival roadshow. He stops in Lakeview this weekend for two screenings at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave.

Beagle will sign copies of his book, and costumes are encouraged.

"The Last Unicorn" was released in 1982 and features the voices of Jeff Bridges, Angela Lansbury and Mia Farrow. It follows a unicorn on a mission to find the rest of her kind, who were chased away by the Red Bull.

There'll be screenings at 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $12 and are available here.
