SOUTH LOOP — Just as thoughts of winter coats appear in the minds of experienced Chicagoans, discount retailer Burlington will open a new location in The Maxwell mall Friday.
The outerwear-focused storefront will open in the mall at 1100 S. Canal St. Friday with a ribbon cutting at 9:30 a.m.
The first 700 customers to make a purchase will get a free tote bag at checkout. Other opening-day festivities include gift card giveaways, and face painting and balloons for little shoppers.
Other recent additions to the South Loop mall include Dick's Sporting Goods and Nordstrom Rack.
