Englewood Town Hall Meeting To Discuss Healthy Eating And Safety

ENGLEWOOD — The nonprofit EverThrive Illinois is sponsoring a town hall meeting for residents interested in talking to local elected officials about issues facing the community, such as safety and healthy eating.

The meeting runs from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the conference room at the Salvation Army, 845 W. 69th St., and is expected to be attended by Aldermen Willie Cochran (20th), Toni Foulkes, (15th), JoAnn Thompson (16th), Pat Dowell (3rd), and Roderick Sawyer (6th), whose wards all run through Englewood.

Aldermen will participate in a panel discussion about food deserts, access to healthy food choices and crime.
