HYDE PARK — Police are warning residents to make sure their homes are secure after a string of four burglaries.

Police said items have been taken from four Hyde Park homes in recent weeks. The incidents took place:

• on Aug. 25, a home in the 5200 block of South Ingleside Avenue was robbed in the morning;

• on Sept. 2, a home in the 900 block of East 52nd Street was robbed in the late afternoon;

• on Sept. 5, a home in the 5300 block of South Greenwood Avenue was robbed in the morning;

• and on Sept. 6, a home in the 5200 block of South Ellis Avenue was robbed in the late afternoon.

Police are asking neighbors to check home security cameras for any suspicious activity and to call detectives with any information at 312-747-8382.
