Three Shot in Englewood

CHICAGO — Three people were shot in Englewood Thursday evening, police said.

The shooting occurred in the 7500 block of South Eggleston Avenue at approximately 6 p.m., said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago police spokesman.

A 45-year-old woman was shot in the thigh and transported to Stroger Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. A 36-year-old man was shot in the thigh and also taken to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, Sweeney said.

A 32-year-old man suffered a graze wound on the arm and refused medical attention, Sweeney said.

Area South detectives are investigating the shooting.
