Man Shot in Calumet Heights

CHICAGO — A man is in critical condition after being shot in the Calumet Heights neighborhood Thursday afternoon, police said.

The man was shot after he got in an argument with someone in the 9100 block of South Marquette Avenue about 4:30 p.m, said Officer Beri Lemmon, a police spokeswoman.

The man, 22, was shot in the lower leg and taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Area South detectives are investigating, and no more information was available.
