RAVENSWOOD MANOR — Rokko Jans has provided the score for 30 Chicago Shakespeare Theatre productions and nearly a half-dozen David Mamet films — how could he possibly top that?

How about closing out Ravenswood Manor's summer concert series?

Jans will perform a selection of his compositions — "Shakespeare: From Ragtime to Blues" — at 7 p.m. Friday at the gazebo in Ravenswood Manor Park, 4626 N. Manor Ave. Unidentified special guests are expected to join Jans on stage.

Bring a blanket or chairs, pack a picnic and enjoy a summer evening of music under the stars.
