WEST ENGLEWOOD — The Montessori School of Englewood is hosting a back-to-school picnic for Englewood students.
The free picnic runs from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the school, 6550 S. Seeley Ave., where students will enjoy free food, music and games.
Officials at the charter elementary school, which opened in August 2012, said it is accepting applications from families of incoming pre-K to third-grade students. Information about the school will be available at the picnic.
Additionally, school officials said It was their goal by hosting community events to establish relationships that promote social justice, empowerment and the revitalization of the Englewood community.
