CHICAGO — Three people were hospitalized after a fight in a Illinois Department of Human Services office in Chatham Thursday afternoon.

Around 3:45 p.m., a fight broke out in the DHS office in the 8000 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, according to Chicago Fire Department Chief Joe Roccasalva.

This prompted a security guard to spray three people with mace, Roccasalva said. Two of them were taken to Jackson Park Hospital, and one was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, he added.

All three are in good condition. Phone calls to the DHS office went unanswered.
