PORTAGE PARK — A 4-year-old girl who wandered away from her Portage Park apartment early Wednesday was found asleep on a neighbor's porch, police said.

Terrianna Wilson was found unharmed about 9 a.m., sleeping on a porch in the 4600 block of West Grace Street, two blocks from her grandmother's apartment, Chicago Police Lt. Jeff Gale said.

"She just wandered away," Gale said.

Police had been searching door-to-door for about 30 minutes when a neighbor discovered the sleeping girl, Gale said.

Terrianna's grandmother, Michelle Wilson, told police the girl also had left the apartment alone a few months ago and was found by a neighbor.
