LINCOLN SQUARE — Nearly 1,500 people have responded to a survey regarding the impact of the elimination of the CTA's No. 11 Lincoln Avenue bus, with paper copies of the questionnaire now added to the mix.
"A lot of people can't get around the neighborhood anymore," said Ald. Ameya Pawar (47th), whose office launched the survey. "People were connected to their neighborhood, and now they can't get to and from the grocery store or the library or our office."
The survey asks six short questions related to whether the elimination of the bus route has caused people to alter their shopping habits along Lincoln Avenue, has forced them to resort to taxis or ride-sharing services or made it more challenging to get to a regular destination.
People can access the survey online or pick up a paper copy at various locations around the ward:

- Welles Park Fieldhouse, 2333 W. Sunnyside Ave.
- Davis Theater, 4614 N. Lincoln Ave.
- Old Town School of Folk Music, 4544 N. Lincoln Ave.
- Northcenter Chamber of Commerce, 4056 N. Lincoln Ave.
- North Center Satellite Senior Center, 4040 N. Oakley Ave.
- Martha Washington Senior Living Center, 2324 W. Irving Park Road
- Lake View YMCA, 3333 N. Marshfield Ave.
- DaVita Lincoln Park Dialysis, 3157 N. Lincoln Ave.
In September 2012, the CTA board voted to discontinue the Western-to-Fullerton leg of the No. 11 Lincoln Avenue bus, which was deemed redundant with Brown Line "L" service in the area.
