CHICAGO — A Cicero man died after crashing his car into another car and a pole in Archer Heights Monday morning.

The crash occurred in the 4100 block of South Pulaski Road about 4:09 a.m. Monday, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a police spokeswoman.

He was traveling "at a high rate of speed" when he clipped another car before crashing into a pole, Pacheco said.

It is unclear if the other car was moving, but the man was the only one hurt in the crash.

The man, identified as 41-year-old Atanacio Barrios, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:02 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
