SOUTH LOOP — Musically inclined little ones are especially welcome at a free concert Tuesday in Chicago Women's Park and Gardens starring the VanderCook College of Music's graduate band.

The free two-part event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. for "Toddlers, Tunes and Turtles," followed by a family drum circle demonstration at 6:30 p.m. and a concert at 7 p.m.

The eighth annual event is sponsored by Lakeside Bank, which is building its new headquarters in the South Loop.

Neighborhood groups including the Greater South Loop Association, Near South Planning Board and Prairie District Neighborhood Alliance also helped organize the two-concert summer series.

Visitors are encouraged to snag a lawn seat with chairs and blankets.
