South Chicago Shooting Kills Man, 24

CHICAGO — A  24-year-old man died early Monday after being shot several times in South Chicago.

The man was discovered by police in the 8400 block of South Buffalo Avenue with gunshot wounds in his back, right arm, chest and eye. He was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where he later died, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.

Joey Henderson, 24, who lived on the block where he was found, was pronounced dead at 3:33 a.m. Monday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one is in custody for the shooting and detectives are investigating.
