Gaslight Opens on Clark With Beachy Menu

By Paul Biasco | July 3, 2014 10:46am

LINCOLN PARK — The former neighborhood favorite, Gaslight Bar and Grill, has reopened a bit closer to the lake and has revamped its menu to reflect that.

The new Gaslight is in the former Mickey's location on Clark Street, and its menu now features an array of fish tacos, fresh guacamole, margaritas and frozen drinks and traditional bar food.

Gaslight, 2450 N. Clark St., opened earlier this week.

Highlights of the new menu includes mahi-mahi fish tacos with jicama-ginger slaw, wasabi aioli and cilantro ($12), Korean tacos with grilled skirt steak, kogi bbq sauce, napa cabbage slaw ($12), poached shrimp tostadas ($10) and a variety of pizzas, salads and burgers.

A full menu is available on Gaslight's website.

The new location also features an outdoor patio overlooking Clark Street with flat-screen TVs both inside and outside.

The bar group behind the project, Four Corners Tavern Group, spent the past six months extensively renovating Mickey's to give it a clean and fresh feel, according to Ryan Indovina, a director with the group.

The tavern group transformed the former Gaslight space at 2426 N. Racine Ave. into a winebar and opened Trellis in November.
