Green City Market, 1750 N. Clark St., 7 a.m.-1 p.m.

Check out the 10 new vendors at the outdoor market with more than 60 vendors. Wednesday's chef demonstration features Bruce Sherman and Greg Mosko of North Pond from 10:30-11:30 a.m. The market will be open from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays through Oct. 25.

Locally Sourced at Lincoln Park Zoo, 201 N. Clark St., 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Head to Cafe Brauer for live music by The Hat Stretchers, locally farmed produce, drink specials on locally brewed Lagunitas Brewing Company and work from local artists: Weener Ware, Rosanna Reformado and Rebecca George.

Genome at the Tonic Room, 2447 N. Halsted Ave., 8:30 p.m.

The Chicago-based group blends jazz and electronic music by utilizing an array of acoustic and electronic instruments. The performance brought to you by Harmonica Dunn will feature Genome and a special visual artist. Tickets for the show are $5 and doors open at 8 p.m.
