HYDE PARK — The Smart Museum of Art is raiding its collection to present an exhibit of drawings from three generations of Chicago figure artists.
The museum at 5550 S. Greenwood Ave. will present work from Robert Barnes, Barbara Rossi and Robert Lucy for the “Serial Drawings” exhibit, which began Tuesday and runs through Aug. 31.
The exhibit reunites a series of 10 drawings Barnes created in 1961 based on Ezra Pound’s “Cantos.”
Curator Richard Born has chosen to feature works from Rossi’s 1970 series “Very Rich Hims and Hers” and Lucy’s suite “Sea Fashions” from 2003.
Admission to the museum is always free.
