CHICAGO — An Indiana man was charged with shooting two people on the South Side earlier in June.
Sergio Garcia, 19, of Whiting, Indiana, was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery for discharging a firearm.
Police said Garcia shot at two men in the 9800 block of Avenue J around 12:15 p.m. June 17, striking a 25-year-old man in the back. The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition.
Garcia is expected in court Sunday.
