Man Shot Monday Dies

CHICAGO — A 40-year-old man shot in West Englewood Monday evening died Friday night, authorities said.

The man, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Kenneth Martin, aka Alfred Barnett, was shot in the groin about 5 p.m. Monday in the 6900 block of South Ashland Avenue, police said.

Martin, of the 7200 block of South Rockwell Street, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 9:42 p.m. Saturday, officials said.
