CHICAGO — Police are investigating the shooting of a woman in Chatham Thursday afternoon.
The woman, 22, was shot in the lower right leg in the 7600 block of South Yale Avenue about 4:20 p.m., police said, citing preliminary information.
She was taken to St. Bernard's Hospital, where her condition had stabilized, police said.
Area South detectives are investigating.
