CHICAGO — Blue Line trains were operating on a single track between Western and LaSalle stations Wednesday after a power outage knocked out the southbound track.
Chicago Transit Authority spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski said crews were working to get trains up and running, but customers were encouraged to use alternative routes until the track was repaired.
Shuttle buses were available in both directions between Western and LaSalle while repairs continued. The CTS also suggested using the No. 22 Clark bus, the No. 36 Broadway bus, the No. 56 Milwaukee bus, the No. 7 Harrison bus, the No. 126 Jackson bus or the No. 12 Roosevelt bus.
Hosinski said the cause of the outage was unknown as of 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
