Suspected Hit-And-Run In Calumet Heights Leaves One Dead

CHICAGO — One person is dead after a suspected hit-and-run in Calumet Heights early Tuesday morning, officials said.

The incident happened about 5:30 a.m. near 91st Street and Euclid Avenue, said Officer Michael Sullivan, citing preliminary information.

The age and gender of the person killed were not immediately available Tuesday morning, but police suspect it might have been a hit-and-run accident, Sullivan said.

Fire Department officials confirmed a person was found dead on the scene Tuesday morning. The person was not transported to an area hospital.
